It has come to my attention that some members are getting the following scam email.
Hello, this is a Freecycle Staff member speaking with you. We have news for you, you are the winner of our monthly draw for 1000€. You are in 29th place, so your prize is 12€. You will need to identify your account. Once this is done, the prize will be credited to your bank card, which you need to link to your account. Please fill in this form:: https://service-v.contact-click334.com/22399236
This is a scam. No one on freecycle should be asking for your bank account/personal details.
If you get this email please report it at https://www.actionfraud.police.uk.
NEVER open the link in the email.
