The post below is copied from another freecycle group regarding phishing responses to posts. Some ask for account or payment verification. Basically do not click on links in, or respond to, anything suspicious wherever it appears in email or website. I currently assume that moderators will need us to report the name on the phishing accounts so they are aware.

"Members throughout UK and now in USA are reporting receiving responses to Offer and Wanted posts but are in fact Phishing attempts. Freecycle Team in USA are now working on this and closing down the phishers accounts as they become known.
