It has been brought to our attention that more and more people are asking for items, getting the address and then not turning up or not apologising for not making the date; we also understand this is happening in other groups. We have been asked by members if there is an App that just generates an auto message - "Hi is this still available?" as people don't seem to write "please may I have this item? or "I would love to have this please" or even "I really need this for my family ".
This message is to remind people of Rutland Freecycle to use words like PLEASE and THANK YOU when asking or turning up to collect an item that has been promised to them as the members who offer items are politely giving away items for free for the benefit of other members.
