BOGUS MESSAGES
Several members have received emails seeming to come from Freecycle inviting them to click on a link. Some are to do with winning a lottery, others are about resetting their account.
Please remember: Freecycle is purely about keeping things in use that would otherwise be thrown away. There is never any payment involved at all. There is no connection to any competitions or lotteries. You do not have to reset your account. The most Freecycle might ask you to do is to reset your password, which you can do within Freecycle without clicking any external links.
Please let the moderator know about any weird messages that seem to come from Freecycle. But let's carry on doing our bit to keep things out of landfill.
